November 1986, Captain Kenju Terauchi is flying a cargo 747 packed with Beaujolais over Alaska when something the size of an aircraft carrier pulls alongside and just cruises next to him. I trust a veteran airline captain talking live to air traffic control a lot more than I trust a shaky phone clip, and this man had it on radar. The wine detail, I admit, makes me grin. Everything else makes me want to book an aisle seat for life. Twenty one minutes, and you will be peeking out the window on your next flight, do not lie to me.

JAL: NOVEMBER 17, 1986 - A Japanese airline crew is en route from Paris to Tokyo with a cargo load of Beaujolais wine. As Captain Terauchi and his crew cross Alaska, they encounter blindingly bright lights flying in their airspace. These lights illuminate the cockpit and seem to be keeping pace with the Boeing 747. Captain Terauchi then reports seeing two unidentified crafts, one the size of a ‘mothership’. The UFO is tracked by both ground and airborne radar, though its origins remain unknown.
