This documentary tells the gripping story of the Saunders-Row SR.177, a revolutionary British "mixed-power" interceptor that combined jet and rocket engines. Born from Nazi technology, it was designed to hunt Soviet bombers at the edge of space. Despite its technical superiority and interest from NATO, the project was killed by a combination of British political shifts and a massive bribery scandal involving Lockheed’s F-104 Starfighter.
