The story of Twitter is a tangled web of lies and betrayals. But, it all begins in 2005, with a little start-up called Odeo. Odeo aimed to become the home of podcasting on the internet - a place where users could record and share their audio files. However, Odeo would soon pivot to Twitter, a platform for users to share their statuses online. This decision would set in motion a series of betrayals by the Twitter founders, as they compete for control of running Twitter.
