The world map is missing a continent. It's made up of servers, cables and virtual interactions. It's an invisible continent, and yet this is where we live now. Fan art has flourished online, where communities of fans make fictional characters their own through drawing or writing, and imagining their own adventures. Whether plagiarism of homage, it is in keeping with artforms through the centuries where imitation has always had a role.
