This film visits a small Oklahoma town that has staged a Passion play for eighty-eight years on a curious replica of Jerusalem built into the Wichita hills. It follows the townsfolk who pantomime the death and resurrection of Christ once a year. Through their devotion and quirks it offers a warm, offbeat portrait of American faith.
